First Reading Galatians 1:6-12
Response The Lord keeps his covenant ever in mind.
Gospel Luke 10:25-37

R/. The Lord keeps his covenant ever in mind.

I will praise the Lord with all my heart,
in the meeting of the just and the assembly.
Great are the works of the Lord,
to be pondered by all who delight in them. R/.

His handiwork is justice and truth;
his precepts are all of them sure,
standing firm forever and ever,
wrought in uprightness and truth. R/.

He has sent redemption to his people,
and established his covenant forever.
Holy his name, to be feared.
His praise endures forever! R/.

V/. Alleluia

R/. Alleluia

V/. A new commandment I give to you, says the Lord, that you love one another, just as I have loved you.

R/. Alleluia.

At that time: A lawyer stood up to put Jesus to the test, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” He said to him, “What is written in the Law? How do you read it?” And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbour as yourself.” And he said to him, “You have answered correctly; do this, and you will live.” But he, desiring to justify himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbour?” Jesus replied, “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell among robbers, who stripped him and beat him and departed, leaving him half dead. Now by chance a priest was going down that road, and when he saw him he passed by on the other side. So likewise a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. But a Samaritan, as he journeyed, came to where he was, and when he saw him, he had compassion. He went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he set him on his own animal and brought him to an inn and took care of him. And the next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper, saying, ‘Take care of him, and whatever more you spend, I will repay you when I come back.’ Which of these three, do you think, proved to be a neighbour to the man who fell among the robbers?” He said, “The one who showed him mercy.” And Jesus said to him, “You go, and do likewise.”

The Gospel today presents us with the well-known parable of the Good Samaritan. A scholar asks Jesus, “Who is my neighbor?” Jesus responds with a story that flips cultural expectations. The Samaritan, despised by the Jews, becomes the hero of the story—offering mercy to a man left beaten and abandoned on the road, while others pass by without helping. What can we learn from this? Jesus teaches us that love has no boundaries. Being a good neighbor means showing mercy and compassion to everyone, regardless of who they are, where they come from, or what they believe. Like the Good Samaritan, we are called to respond to the needs of others with kindness and love, especially when it is unexpected. It is a reminder that our faith must be lived out through our actions.

Loving Father,
as I rise today, fill my heart with Your truth. Help me remain steadfast in the true Gospel of Christ, even when I am tempted to turn away. Grant me the strength to be merciful and kind like the Good Samaritan, seeing everyone as my neighbor. Guide me to live my life with humility, love, and action. Through the intercession of St. John Leonardi, may I grow in faith and courage to proclaim Your Word. Amen.

Today, we honor Our Lady of the Rosary, celebrating Mary’s powerful intercession through the Rosary. This prayer has been a source of strength for Christians, leading to victories like the Battle of Lepanto in 1571, attributed to the faithful praying the Rosary.

The Rosary helps us meditate on the life of Christ and brings us closer to His heart. As we pray it, we seek Mary’s intercession and grow in faith. Let us embrace the Rosary as a means of finding peace, overcoming challenges, and deepening our love for Jesus.

Today, I am grateful for the people who help us even when we don’t expect it. Lord, thank You for the Good Samaritans in our lives who show us what true love and compassion are. Help us to be Good Samaritans to others in return.

Thank you for joining me to reflect the Word of God with me. My Hearty Wishes for you have a fruitful and joyous day. Stay Blessed.
