Thus says the Lord: “Behold, I send an angel before you to guard you on the way and to bring you to the place that I have prepared. Pay careful attention to him and obey his voice; do not rebel against him, for he will not pardon your transgression, for my name is in him. “But if you carefully obey his voice and do all that I say, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries. “When my angel goes before you and brings you to the Amorites and the Hittites and the Perizzites and the Canaanites, the Hivites and the Jebusites, and I blot them out,

to keep you in all your ways. R/.

Gospel
Matthew 18:1-5, 10
At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me. See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.”
Today’s Reflection
The connection between the readings are very clear, whether it is Jesus or guardian angel what is necessary from our end is Childlike trust on God’s providence. God is inviting us to surrender ourselves to his guide and protect. Just like Children completely believe and trust in their parents, we are also called to let go of our fear and selfishness. When we are depending on ourselves alone, God can not work for us, and lead us in the right path. Simply believing and trusting without any reason is required of us today.
Morning Prayer
Dear Lord, Thank You for the gift of Your guardian angels who watch over us and guide us on our journey. Help us to be attentive to Your voice and trust in the ways You are leading us, even when the path seems unclear. Grant us the grace to become more like children—humble, open, and trusting in Your care. May we always welcome and protect those who are vulnerable, and may our hearts remain childlike in faith and devotion. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Saint of the Day: Holy Guardian Angels
Today we celebrate the feast of the Holy Guardian Angels. Guardian angels are messengers sent by God to protect and guide us through life. Every person is believed to have a guardian angel who prays for them and intercedes on their behalf. St. Bernard of Clairvaux once said, “Make the holy angels your friends. No matter how weak or sinful you may be, your guardian angel will be your guide and protector.”
Daily Gratitude
Beloved Brother and Sister, Please take a moment to thank God for the unseen protection of your guardian angel. Consider how your life has been shaped by divine guidance, and express gratitude for the ways God has led you safely through difficult times.
