Hearty Welcome Dear to today’s catholic readings for October 3rd. Today’s readings from the Book of Job and the Gospel of Luke invite us to reflect on the perseverance in faith at the time of suffering and call to trust in God’s providence in our need. Come on, let’s dive into exploring God’s message through the Word of God today.

First Reading
Job 19:21-27
Job said: “Have mercy on me, have mercy on me, O you my friends, for the hand of God has touched me! Why do you, like God, pursue me? Why are you not satisfied with my flesh? “Oh that my words were written! Oh that they were inscribed in a book! Oh that with an iron pen and lead they were engraved in the rock for ever! For I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last he will stand upon the earth. And after my skin has been thus destroyed, yet in my flesh I shall see God, whom I shall see for myself, and my eyes shall behold, and not another. My heart faints within me!

be stouthearted, and wait for the Lord! R/.

Gospel
Luke 10:1-12
At that time: The Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them on ahead of him, two by two, into every town and place where he himself was about to go. And he said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into his harvest. Go your way; behold, I am sending you out as lambs in the midst of wolves. Carry no money bag, no knapsack, no sandals, and greet no one on the road. Whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace be to this house!’ And if a son of peace is there, your peace will rest upon him. But if not, it will return to you. And remain in the same house, eating and drinking what they provide, for the labourer deserves his wages. Do not go from house to house. Whenever you enter a town and they receive you, eat what is set before you. Heal the sick in it and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’ But whenever you enter a town and they do not receive you, go into its streets and say, ‘Even the dust of your town that clings to our feet we wipe off against you. Nevertheless know this, that the kingdom of God has come near.’ I tell you, it will be more bearable on that day for Sodom than for that town
Today’s Reflection
As we journey through the Word of God today, we receive a very unique and practical message for us to practice in life. In first reading Job professes his trust in God even at the time of Challenges. And in the gospel, Jesus sends the disciple advising them to trust on the providence of God while evangelizing. The message for us is when we are in suffering or in need, the only place we can get strength and get fulfilled is from GOD by our trust and faithfulness.
Morning Prayer
Heavenly Father,
In moments of suffering and doubt, grant me the faith of Job, to trust in Your goodness and love even when we cannot see it. Help me to declare with confidence that our Redeemer lives. As You send me out into the world, give me the courage of Your disciples to share Your love with others, even in the face of rejection or hardship. May I always rely on Your providence and walk boldly in Your name. Amen.
Saint of the Day: St. Theodora Guérin
Today we celebrate the feast of St. Theodora Guérin. She was a French nun who came to the U.S. in 1840 to help start schools and churches in Indiana. Even though she faced a lot of challenges, like illness and difficulties from others, she trusted in God and worked hard. She founded the Sisters of Providence and dedicated her life to educating young people and caring for the poor.
Daily Gratitude
Beloved Brother and Sister, Please take a moment to thank God for the strength that comes from faith, especially in difficult times. Thank God for the moments when His presence has been felt in the midst of suffering, offering peace and hope.
Thank you for joining me to reflect the Word of God with me. My Hearty Wishes for you have a fruitful and joyous day. Stay Blessed.
