R/. May the Lord bless us all the days of our lives

Blessed are all who fear the Lord,
and walk in his ways!
By the labour of your hands you shall eat.
You will be blessed and prosper. R/.

Your wife like a fruitful vine
in the heart of your house;
your children like shoots of the olive
around your table. R/.

Indeed thus shall be blessed
the man who fears the Lord.
May the Lord bless you from Sion.
May you see Jerusalem prosper
all the days of your life! R/.

May you see your children’s children.
On Israel, peace! R/.

At that time: Some Pharisees came up and in order to test Jesus asked, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?” He answered them, “What did Moses command you?” They said, “Moses allowed a man to write a certificate of divorce and to send her away.” And Jesus said to them, “Because of your hardness of heart he wrote you this commandment. But from the beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female.’ ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.” And in the house the disciples asked him again about this matter. And he said to them, “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her, and if she divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery.” And they were bringing children to him that he might touch them, and the disciples rebuked them. But when Jesus saw it, he was indignant and said to them, “Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.” And he took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them.

In the First Reading (Genesis 2:18-24), God creates woman from man’s side, symbolizing that men and women are meant to be partners—equal, complementary, and united in love. Marriage, we see here, is part of God’s original design, created for companionship and mutual support. It’s a sacred bond that mirrors God’s love for us.

In the Gospel (Mark 10:2-16), Jesus is asked about divorce. He affirms that marriage is not just a human contract but a divine covenant. The Pharisees tried to test Jesus by focusing on the legalities of divorce, but Jesus takes the conversation deeper, pointing back to God’s original plan for marriage. He emphasizes that what God has joined together, no one should separate. His response is a call to uphold the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong union based on love, commitment, and faithfulness.

In Hebrews 2:9-11, we are reminded that Christ became one of us, sharing in our human experience to lead us to salvation. He calls us His brothers and sisters, which shows that He values our relationship with Him and with one another. Jesus’ suffering and sacrifice were out of love to bring us into communion with God.

Today’s readings challenge us to value and protect the relationships in our lives—whether it be in marriage, family, or friendships. All relationships should reflect God’s love, and we are called to nurture them with kindness, patience, and faithfulness.

Lord Jesus,
As the day begins, I come before You with a heart full of gratitude. Guide my steps today, and help me reflect Your love in all my relationships. Strengthen my commitment to those You have placed in my life, and let my actions reflect Your grace. Through the intercession of Saint Bruno, may I find moments of silence and peace today, to hear Your voice more clearly. Amen

Today we celebrate Saint Bruno, a man who devoted his life to solitude and prayer. He founded the Carthusian Order, known for its silence and strict devotion. Though Saint Bruno lived a contemplative life, his example teaches us the importance of inner reflection, prayer, and drawing closer to God in all that we do. Even in the busyness of our lives, we can follow his example by creating moments of quiet to listen to God’s voice and deepen our spiritual life.

Beloved Brother and Sister, Please take a moment to be grateful for the gift of relationships. Thank You, Lord, for the people in my life who love and support me. Help me to nurture these bonds and reflect Your divine love in them.

Thank you for joining me to reflect the Word of God with me. My Hearty Wishes for you have a fruitful and joyous day. Stay Blessed.
